The hotel is an architectural and cultural landmark, having played host over the years to a colourful guest list of celebrities, politicians and gangsters (with some overlap) that included Marilyn Monroe, JFK, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joseph Cotton, and many more.
